In 2006 the area saw the greatest number of basking sharks in the UK. You might see minke whales, harbour porpoise, bottle-nose dolphin and common dolphin plus golden and white-tailed sea eagles, the comical puffin, deer, shy otters and seals. Sometimes other cetaceans such as orca (killer whale) are seen.
